About Clover Stitch

Clover Stitch makes embroidered sweatshirts, hoodies, tees, hats and a few small extras for the people who hold families together: mamas, grandmas, nanas, gigis, aunties, sisters, and the little ones who gave them those titles. Our whole range is built around one idea. A title like “Mama” or “Nana” is earned, usually on a specific day in a specific year, and it deserves to be written down somewhere she will see it every day. We write it in thread.

Why a clover made of hearts?
A four-leaf clover is luck you find close to home, if you look carefully. In our logo each leaf is a small heart, with a dashed line of “stitches” running around the inside. We like to think of the four hearts as the people she looks after. Most families have more than four, of course, so there is always room for one more heart on the sleeve.
The clover appears on many of our designs: next to the word “mama” on our signature crewneck, on the left chest of the Little Clover kids crewneck and baby bodysuit, and above the year on our custom est. pieces. Wearing it is a quiet way for a family to match without dressing identically.

Our range is small on purpose. Every design has a reason to exist, and each one does something the others do not.
For mamas
Crewneck sweatshirts with “mama” beside a heart clover, tall arched MAMA lettering, a flowing script with a single heart on the cuff, a wreath of small wildflowers, bold MOM letters, and the Mama Est. Year crewneck where you choose Mama, Mom, Mommy or Mother and add the year. There are hoodies too — a lowercase mama hoodie, a Mama Bear hoodie and a full-zip with a tiny clover on the back — plus a short-sleeve tee and a low-profile dad hat. For grandmas, whatever she is called
Not every grandmother is “Grandma”, so we make finished designs for Nana, Grandma, Gigi and Mimi, and a custom crewneck where her title goes on the chest and the grandchildren’s names run down the sleeve. How a Clover Stitch piece comes together
Every piece is made to order, which means nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for someone with the right name. The process is short and simple:
- You choose. Pick the design, the garment colour and the size. On custom pieces, choose the title, type the year or names and pick a thread colour. The live preview on the product image shows how your text sits.
- You check. You have 24 hours after ordering to tell us about any change. We do not send a proof or mockup before production, so this window — and a careful look at the preview — is the moment to catch a typo.
- We embroider. Within 1–3 business days the garment is prepared, your design is embroidered exactly as you typed it, the piece is checked against your order and packed.
- It travels. Orders ship from the USA and usually arrive in 7–14 business days in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Shipping is free.
Why embroidery?
Embroidery is thread sewn into the fabric. The letters sit slightly raised, they have texture you can feel with your fingertips, and they catch the light in a way a flat print does not. For a word that means as much as “Mama” or a list of grandchildren’s names, we think that difference matters.
Embroidery also has its own character. Thread is a little softer on a light garment and stands out more on a dark one, and small differences between pieces are part of the craft. We describe thread colours honestly on each product page and suggest contrasting combinations where it helps the text read clearly.
Embroidery also changes how a design is planned. Thread adds a little weight and stiffness where it sits, so we keep our designs a sensible size: a small clover on the chest, a title, a year, a short line of names. That way a sweatshirt still drapes and moves like a sweatshirt, and the lettering stays the star.
To keep your embroidery looking its best, we suggest washing inside out on a gentle, cool cycle and avoiding ironing directly on the stitches.
The words we use, and the ones we avoid
We say “embroidered” because that is what our pieces are: designs stitched in thread, made to order. We describe garments as relaxed unisex fits, kids sizes and baby sizes, and we leave out claims we cannot stand behind. If you want to know something specific about a garment that is not on its product page, email us and we will tell you what we know, or that we do not know. A straight answer is part of the service.
What we will not do
- We do not use team names, brand names, cartoon characters or other licensed material — not in our designs and not in personalisation. Everything you see is ours or yours. See our Intellectual Property Policy.
- We do not show fake reviews, fake “only 2 left” warnings, countdown clocks or invented discounts. Our prices are our prices.
- We do not invent things about ourselves. You will not find a made-up founding story or a team photo of people who do not work here. What we tell you is what is true: what we sell, how it is made to order, where we ship, and the promises below.

Thread colours, chosen to be read
On our custom pieces you choose the thread colour yourself. On finished designs we have matched it for you. Either way, the aim is the same: the title should be easy to read from across a kitchen. This table shows the combinations we suggest most often.

Ordering for the whole family
Families often order several pieces at once: a Mama crewneck, a Little Clover kids crewneck and a baby bodysuit for a photo, or one Auntie Club sweatshirt for every sister. A few tips make that easy. Gather everyone’s sizes before you start, and the exact spelling of every name. Add each piece to the cart separately so every size and title is clear. If the pieces go to different addresses, place one order per address; shipping is free on each. And if you are planning a photo, book it after the latest expected delivery date rather than the earliest.
Gift ideas by moment
- Mother’s Day: the Mama Est. Year crewneck, the Mama Wildflower Wreath sweatshirt or, for a lighter gift, the Mama dad hat.
- A new grandbaby: the Grandma sleeve-names crewneck with the newest name added, or the Nana Clover Pocket hoodie.

A sister orders three Auntie Club sweatshirts for a hospital visit. Parents order a Big Sister sweatshirt for an announcement photo, and a new mama quietly orders a crewneck for herself because she has earned it. Many gifts travel across a border to a grandmother in Canada, Australia or New Zealand, which is why shipping to all four countries is free.
